Private Shipment Notes

Evotrux allows shippers to add private notes to a shipment for internal communication and record-keeping. These notes are visible only to your team and are never shared with carriers. Private notes are located at the bottom of the shipment page.

Who Can See Private Notes

Private shipment notes are visible to:

  • You (the shipper who created the note)

  • Teammates you’ve shared the shipment with

  • Company and branch administrators

🚫 Carriers cannot view or access private notes at any time.

Step 1: Scroll To Private Notes

Open the shipment and scroll to the Private Notes section at the bottom of the page.

Step 2: Add A Private Note

Click Add Note to open the private note editor.

Step 3: Save Your Note

Enter your note and click Save Note.

How Notes Are Recorded

Each private note includes:

  • The note content

  • The name of the person who added the note

  • A timestamp showing when it was created

This creates a clear internal activity history for the shipment.


Why Use Private Notes

Private notes are useful for:

  • Internal reminders or follow-ups

  • Recording special handling details

  • Team communication about a shipment

  • Keeping context without messaging carriers
