Creating A Shipment Template

Shipment templates allow you to quickly recreate common shipments without re-entering the same details each time. Templates are ideal for recurring lanes, customers, or freight types. Follow the steps below to create a shipment template.

Step 1: Fill In The Shipment Form

Start by creating a shipment as you normally would.
Complete all relevant shipment details, including:

  • Equipment type

  • Service type (FTL/FCL, etc.)

  • Weight and commodity details

  • Origin and destination

  • Any additional stops, requirements, or notes

Templates will save the information you enter here, allowing it to be reused later.

Templates can include as much or as little information as you like. For example, you could save a template that only includes your pickup location. Or, you can create a template for a shipment with full details. It’s entirely up to you.

Step 2: Click CREATE TEMPLATE

Once your shipment details are filled out, scroll to the bottom of the shipment form and click CREATE TEMPLATE.

Step 3: Give Your Template A Name

Enter a name that makes it easy to identify the template later (for example, a lane name or customer reference), then click SAVE.

Step 4: Find Your Template In My Templates

After saving, your shipment template will appear in your My Templates list.
You can reuse a template at any time to quickly create a new shipment with pre-filled details.
