Choosing How Carriers Quote Your Shipment

Evotrux allows you to choose how carriers submit pricing for your shipment. By selecting a quote format, you can receive rates as an all-in price, per ton, or per hour, depending on how your freight is typically priced. Follow the steps below to select how carriers quote your shipment.

Step 1: Open More Options

While creating a shipment, scroll down and expand More Options – Visibility, Projects, Sharing, Files.

Step 2: Select How You’d Like Carriers To Quote

Under How would you like carriers to quote this shipment?, choose one of the following options:

  • All-in price (default)

  • Price per metric ton

  • Price per short ton

  • Price per hour

Once selected, carriers will only be able to submit quotes using this pricing format.

Step 3: Receive Quotes In Your Selected Format

Carriers will submit quotes using the pricing type you selected.

For example, if you choose price per metric ton, carrier quotes will be shown as a rate per metric ton rather than a total shipment price.

Step 4: Final Pricing Is Automatically Calculated After Delivery

For all pricing options other than all-in, carriers will update the final tonnage moved or hours worked once the shipment is delivered. Evotrux then automatically calculates the final total price based on the agreed rate.
