How to Attach Files When Marking a Shipment as Delivered
Description (subtitle): When you mark a shipment as delivered, you can now attach files like proof of delivery, scale tickets, and load photos. The shipper sees them instantly, in the same place as the delivery status, with no separate email to send or track down.

After a delivery, the load isn't really closed out until the paperwork reaches the shipper. That usually means a separate email with the POD, maybe a scale ticket or a few photos, often sent later and easy to lose track of. Attaching your files at the moment you mark a shipment delivered keeps the proof and the delivery together in one place.
What can you attach?
When you mark a shipment as delivered, you can include any files that support the delivery, such as:
Proof of delivery (POD)
Scale tickets
Photos of the load
Any other document you want the shipper to see
When can you use it?
You can attach files any time you mark a shipment delivered. The green Mark Delivered button appears in the Shipment Status section once a shipment has been picked up.

How to attach files when marking a shipment delivered
1. Click Mark Delivered
Open the shipment and click the green Mark Delivered button.
2. Set the delivery date and time
Enter the date and time the shipment was delivered. You can also add optional notes for the shipper. Notes and the delivery time are shared with the shipper.
3. Upload your files
In the Attachments section, click anywhere in the upload box or drag and drop your files in, then select the file(s) you want to attach.

4. Confirm the delivery
Once your files are attached, click Mark Delivered to confirm.
What happens after I mark it delivered?
Your files now appear on the shipment's delivery status update, and a View Attachments button shows up in the Shipment Status section.

Click View Attachments to open or download any file at any time. The shipper sees the same delivery status and the same attachments on their end, so you're both working from the same record.
Why this matters
Normally the proof of a delivery travels separately from the delivery itself. The load gets marked delivered in one place, and the POD, scale ticket, or photos go out by email or text some time later, if they don't get forgotten altogether. When the shipper needs that paperwork, they have to dig through their inbox or come back to you for it.
Attaching files at the moment you mark a shipment delivered closes that gap. The proof lands with the delivery status the instant you submit, the shipper can pull it themselves without asking, and every document for the load lives in one place you can both return to later. That means fewer follow-up requests for you, and a faster, cleaner path to an approved invoice.

Frequently asked questions
What kinds of files can I attach?
Any file that supports the delivery, such as a proof of delivery, scale ticket, load photo, or other relevant document. You can attach up to 10 files, up to 100MB each.
Can the shipper see the files?
Yes. Attachments are visible to both you and the shipper. The shipper sees the same delivery status and the same attachments that you do.
Can I add or change files after I mark the shipment delivered?
Marking a shipment as delivered cannot be reversed, so attach everything you need before you confirm. If you need to share an additional document afterward, you can still send it through Live Chat on the shipment. See Send Files to the Shipper.
How is this different from sending files in Live Chat?
Live Chat file sharing is for sending documents back and forth on a booked shipment at any time, and is limited to 5MB per file. Attaching files when you mark a shipment delivered ties the documents directly to the delivery status update, supports up to 10 files at 100MB each, and is the best place for your proof of delivery.
Do I have to attach files to mark a shipment delivered?
No. Attachments are optional. You can mark a shipment delivered without them.
